While the 2025 competitive calendar is still a few weeks away, the staff, athletes, and everyone involved in the Wilier - Vittoria MTB Factory Team have been hard at work for months. Year after year, the team has been building upon its success, and this season is set to be another significant step forward.

Starting in 2025, the team's focus will focus primarily to Cross Country racing, with Wilier - Vittoria riders aiming to compete at the highest level on the global stage, beginning with the World Cup in Brazil in early April.

To further strengthen the team's roster, three new riders will be joining: reigning Italian XCO Elite Champion and fourth in the UCI World ranking, Luca Braidot, Italian Elite rider Juri Zanotti, and Canadian under-23 rising star Ella MacPhee.

To mark the start of the season, the team will unveil a refreshed brand identity that celebrates an Italian excellence on a global stage with a pop culture twist: pasta. Bold and vibrant colors combine with details inspired by the shapes and textures of one of the riders' favorite foods, creating a unique graphic that characterizes the new race kit and the Urta Max SLR.

Marco Trentin, Team Principal of Wilier Vittoria MTB Factory Team stated:

"We have high ambitions for the upcoming season and are already hard at work to achieve our initial goals. The arrival of new riders, starting with Luca Braidot, has further elevated the team's level, creating a perfect balance between young talent and experienced athletes competing at the highest level. On the organizational front, we have taken another significant step forward with a highly qualified staff supporting our riders: a performance manager, technical coach, nutritionist, experienced masseurs, specialized mechanics, and an exclusive hospitality area with a food truck to welcome sponsors and fans".

THE TEAM

The aforementioned shift in perspective for Wilier-Vittoria has prompted the team to strengthen its XCO division significantly.

The big winter signing is Luca Braidot, the Italian national champion, a multiple World Cup XCO winner, 4th at the last Olympic Games, and 4th in the UCI World rankings. Luca will be the team's benchmark in terms of results but also a growth reference for younger athletes, given his impressive palmares.

With the confirmed European XCO champion Simone Avondetto (who recently renewed his contract until 2028), Wilier Vittoria can now count on what are probably the best interpreters of the discipline at the national level, both currently in the top 10 of the UCI World rankings and who, not coincidentally, represented Italy at Paris 2024.

"I look forward to the next season with great confidence," said Luca Braidot. "The team is very well organized in every aspect, and I can't wait for the first races. One of the factors that led me to choose this team is that it's a Factory Team and the direct relationship with Wilier and Vittoria will be fundamental for me to express myself at my best. My main goal for 2025 is to be consistently at the top in the World Cup and return to the Top 5 of the General Classification."

The two will not be alone, as Juri Zanotti, the 2021 U23 XCO vice world champion, has also signed for the team. A trio destined to make Italian fans dream.

"Wilier Vittoria seems like a big family," said Juri. "This environment is perfect for me, as I really appreciate strong relationships. I am constantly trying to improve, and I am sure that here I will have all the tools to do so. Racing with Luca and Simone will be an additional incentive to make the leap in quality that I am building with hard work."

Among the women, the arrival of the very young Canadian Ella MacPhee has been formalized, who will start with great ambitions for the general classification of the World Cup in the U23 category.

"I am determined to be consistently on the podium in the World Cup in 2025," said Ella. "Last year I got very close twice, and this year I'm hungry for victory and a high-level overall ranking. I can't wait for the season to start!"

The 2025 roster, in addition to the new riders, is completed with the confirmations of Simone Avondetto, Elian Paccagnella, Gustav Heby Pedersen and Sofie Heby Pedersen.

The next appointment with the Team is scheduled for February 4th with the presentation of the Team to the media and the public at Vittoria Park.
