Wilier-Vittoria: Mont-Sainte-Anne, UCI MTB World Series Round 10 - Preview

The final race of the season has arrived for the riders of the Wilier-Vittoria MTB Factory Team. After a long year filled with travel, climbs, trails, and hard work, the curtain comes down in Mont-Sainte-Anne, Canada, where the 10th and final round of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup will take place from October 10 to 12.

The Mont-Sainte-Anne Bike Park is a true Mecca for mountain biking, offering 130 km of cross-country trails suited to all skill levels — from beginners to freeriders. The resort is located in Beaupré, about 40 km northeast of Québec City. For cross-country specialists, the Mont-Sainte-Anne course can be summed up in one word: technical. Each lap demands full control through rock gardens, roots, and ruts, and when the weather turns wet, the terrain can quickly feel like an ice rink.

For this final round, Wilier-Vittoria will be without Luca Braidot, who broke his collarbone in Lake Placid and was forced to end his North American trip early. Still, the team lines up with Vice World Champion Simone Avondetto, 5th in Lake Placid’s XCO, Juri Zanotti in the elite men’s field, and Sofie Heby Pedersen among the elite women.

In the U23 ranks, Elian Paccagnella returns to racing after recovering from a knee issue and has joined the team directly in Canada. The spotlight, however, will be on Gustav Heby Pedersen, currently 2nd overall in the U23 XCC standings and 3rd in XCO, as well as on Ella MacPhee, who showed strong form in the U.S. and holds 2nd place in the U23 women’s XCO overall classification.
