IT'S CAPE EPIC TIME FOR WILIER-VITTORIA!

Updated: Mar 21

Rev up your engines because things are heating up with one of the most exciting and prestigious events of the season. From March 17th to 24th, the Wilier-Vittoria MTB Factory Team will be tearing it up in South Africa for the Cape Epic, the ultimate stage race in the MTB world.

This race spans 8 stages, hitting up towns like Lourensford Wine Estate, Tulbagh, Wellington, and Stellenbosch, covering a whopping 617 km with 16.5 thousand meters of elevation gain. With trails, climbs, and wildlife totally different from what they're used to, the Cape Epic is always a test of one's limits, and Wilier-Vittoria, who nabbed fourth place last year with a stage win, is aiming for another strong finish.

Fabian Rabensteiner and Samuele Porro are looking to keep up their solid start to the season, going head-to-head with the best XCM riders in the world. And Daniel Geismayr is teaming up again with Jakob Dorigoni, ready to make their mark.

"After clinching victory at the Andalucia Bike Race, I'm confident Porro and Rabensteiner will put on a show in South Africa," said Massimo De Bertolis, Team Manager of Wilier-Vittoria. "They're in great shape, and they've got a good rapport. Of course, the Cape Epic throws up all sorts of challenges, not just on the race front but also with luck – anything can happen in 8 days. And I reckon Geismayr can shoot for a top spot too. Big shoutout to all the staff involved; organizing a trip like this is no walk in the park.”

Meanwhile, on March 16, the XCO crew will be tearing it up at the first race of the Internazionali d’Italia Series in San Zeno di Montagna (VR). Giada Specia will be leading the charge as the reigning champ, backed up by Ginia Lara Caluori and Sofie Pedersen, ready to build on last year's success. Among the guys, Simone Avondetto, Gustav Pedersen, and Elian Paccagnella are geared up and ready to roll.
