It’s that time of year again — when the Mountain Bike World Cup returns to Italy, landing in Val di Sole, Trentino, for its fifth round. For the Wilier-Vittoria MTB Factory Team, it’s without a doubt one of the highlights of the season. Racing in front of a home crowd always brings an extra boost.

Scheduled from June 20 to 22, the Italian stop of the UCI MTB World Series has long earned its place as a classic on the global circuit. Riders will take on a natural 4-kilometer course with 190 meters of elevation gain. Rocks, roots, natural berms, adrenaline, and XCO-gravity sections define the loop set inside the Daolasa Bike Park in Commezzadura — widely regarded as one of the most technical and demanding courses on the calendar.
Once again, Wilier-Vittoria will field a full squad: European champion Simone Avondetto, Italian champion Luca Braidot, and Juri Zanotti will line up in the elite men’s races, while Sofie Heby Pedersen will compete among the elite women. Elian Paccagnella will focus solely on the XCO race, as he's also preparing for his final high school exams. In the U23 category, Gustav Heby Pedersen sits second overall in both the XCC and XCO standings, while Ella MacPhee continues to lead the women’s U23 XCO classification with confidence.
